Senior Cycle at Scoil Mhuire is about far more than preparing students for the Leaving Certificate. It is about nurturing ambitious, confident and compassionate young women who are ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the future.
The final two years of school represent the concluding stages of The Scoil Mhuire Journey—our unique six-year framework that supports every student academically, personally and socially from the moment she joins our community.
In Fifth Year, students Aspire. They raise their ambitions, deepen their learning, embrace leadership opportunities and begin shaping their future with confidence and purpose.
In Sixth Year, students Become. They bring together everything they have learned and experienced throughout their years at Scoil Mhuire, preparing not only for the Leaving Certificate but for university, careers and the wider world.
Throughout these two years, our focus remains constant: to help every student achieve academic excellence while developing the confidence, resilience, integrity and character to flourish long after she leaves Scoil Mhuire.

Year 5 - Aspire
Building Confidence. Raising Ambition. Shaping the Future.
Fifth Year marks the beginning of the Leaving Certificate programme and the first stage of Senior Cycle.
It is a year in which students strengthen their academic foundations while developing greater independence, leadership and responsibility. Through Volume 5 – Aspire, students are encouraged to think beyond examinations, raise their aspirations and begin making informed decisions about their future.
Alongside their academic studies, students continue to embrace every aspect of school life. They are encouraged to:

Year 6 - Become
Ready for the Future
Sixth Year is the final stage of The Scoil Mhuire Journey and the culmination of six years of learning, growth and personal development.
As students prepare for the Leaving Certificate, they also prepare for life beyond Scoil Mhuire. Supported by experienced teachers who know them well, students are challenged academically while receiving the guidance and encouragement they need to perform at their very best.
Structured guidance, supervised study, mentoring, wellbeing initiatives and personalised support ensure that every student approaches this important year with confidence.
As we remind our students throughout Sixth Year:
